If you haven’t had a chance to see the new Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers movie, you probably should watch it. It’s maybe the perfect blend of nostalgia, humor and just pointing at random IP cameos that you might recognize. It’s completely totally and in all ways absolutely delightful. This is in stark contrast to last years Space Jam: A New Legacy which was… garbage. Hot stinky garbage! What makes one work and the other not? On today’s episode, Mav and Wayne are joined by returning guests Kingdom James and Ryan Scott Thomas to talk about “cameo movies” and why they do and don’t work. Join us as we look at a string of films you might have heard of… and some, you almost certainly have not, to try and figure out what can makes a film cross that thin line from nostalgic romp to shameless cash grab. Listen and let us know if you agree with our picks or have some of your own.
