e344. Creepy Kids & Horror: Exploring Unsettling Youth in Film

Well, the US presidential election happened. And you’ve probably heard a ton about it. But we’re living in denial here at VoxPopcast so we’ve decided to pretend it’s still Halloween! Actually, before the election occurred, we recorded an episode dealing with the concept of creepy kids in horror. You might recall we talked about creepy dolls a couple weeks ago… well, this is sort of an extension of that. What makes children in horror movies (and other films) so creepy and unsettling? Let’s figure it out! On this episode, Monica, Hannah and Mav are joined by guests Donald Blake Collins and Jose Nateras to talk all about the creepiness and uncanniness of kids in film. Are you as creeped out as us? Listen and let us know your thoughts. Come on, admit it… you need the break from politics as much as we do!
