The nice thing about having your own podcast is that sometimes you can just turn a casual conversation into content that you discuss with the whole wide world. That’s what happened for Mav this weekend when he walked in while his wife, returning guest Stephanie Siler, was watching a psychology YouTube podcast discussing the concept of Stockholm Syndrome. However the host mentioned as one of his examples, the Elizabeth Smart case, and got a few details wrong. This lead to a discussion between Mav and Steph about the importance of accuracy in science and in popular culture. So today, they are joined by another returning guest, Nicole Freim, to talk about the importance of accuracy in story telling, fiction and science and how it might color the public perception of the real science one way or the other. Listen and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
