e415. Beyond the Final Frontier: Star Trek’s Influence on Culture & Fandom

Four hundred and fifteen episodes over eight years and we never talked about Star Trek. How could that possibly be? Well, it can’t be. Of course we’ve talked about Star Trek, but we’ve never devoted a whole episode to it and that seems crazy given that it is one of the most enduring pop culture media properties of all time. Well, no longer. On today’s episode, Mav and Wayne welcome two lifelong Trek fans, returning guest Laura JV and sort-of-returning-sort-of-first-time guest Christopher Binghamton talk about the history and evolution of the franchise in all of its many many many forms and its enduring cultural relevancy across seven decades. There’s a lot to talk about so listen and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
