In 2001, Disney released the film adaptation of the YA novel The Princess Diaries, starring Ann Hathaway and launching her career on a trajectory that would eventually earn her an Oscar. However, before she got there, she’d make a sequel, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, a film with… somewhat less acclaim. However, the second film does have its fans, including our very own Hannah. In fact, she staunchly believes that the movie’s 26% Rotten Tomatoes score is entirely in errro. So on this week’s episode join us as Hannah and returning guest Josh Stroud try to convince Mav and Monica that Princess Diaries 2 is actually a film masterpiece of political intrigue with poignant allusions to Machiavelli. Listen to their pitch and let us know if you agree in the comments.
