A few weeks ago, Mav was talking with friend of the show Joe Darowski about a new class Joe is teaching at Bringham Young University called “Technology & Narrative”. Joe asked if Mav had any suggestions for the course since it seemed up his alley. Well, as it turns out, Mav regularly teaches a course at the University of Pittsburgh called “Narrative & Technology” that quite naturally has many of the same themes in mind. So, it seemed like a good opportunity to do something we haven’t done on the show in a while, a syllabus special! So on today’s episode Mav and Maybe welcome Joe as well as two of Mav’s colleagues at Pitt, Jessica FitzPatrick and Addison Eldin (both of whom have also taught the course) to talk all about the links between Narrative and Technology and how we each design our courses and texts that might make sense to include on a syllabus for the class. Listen and let us know what you think and if you have any suggestions for what we missed in the comments.
