So there’s a weird thing that happens when you get older. You start to realize that the things that seem indelibly important to you simply don’t matter to younger generations. Usually on our show, when we talk about the past we’re talking about movies, TV, comics, or music. But what about real events. What about the flashbulb memories, historical world events that seem so important and notable when you see them happen, but seem to lose their luster with later generations. Why doesn’t anyone remember the Maine? Why were we supposed to remember it anyway?
