On recent episodes of our show, Mav has mentioned that he would soon be starting a new podcast with friends of the show Andrew Deman and Anna Peppard. Well, soon is today! And so we happily present The Oh Gosh, Oh Golly, Oh Wow! Podcast! (or GoshGollyWow for short)! GoshGollyWow is an extension of both VoxPopcast and Anna and Andrew’s other show, Three Panel Contrast. Each weekly episode of GoshGollyWow will feature an in depth discussion of one issue of the 1988-1998 Marvel Comics series Excalibur as we analyze and close read it with mixture of academia and inanity that you’ve come to expect… well here. If you’ve read Excalibur youill realize that is completely to be expected. If you’ve not read it, come along anyway! Perhaps you’ll be convinced to join in and follow along.
On the supersized debut episode, we tackle the Excalibur origin graphic novel, The Sword is Drawn, as well as the lead in comics, Captain Britain, Nightcrawler, and X-men: The Mutant Massacre & Fall of the Mutants. Even if you’ve never read these before the show should be a fun ride.
