Okay, campers, rise and shine, and don’t forget your booties ’cause it’s cooooold out there today! It’s Groundhog Day, and you know what that means! It’s the return of your favorite annual podcast, GroundPod Day! Just like every year, Joe, Andrew, Nicole and Mav return to do a deep dive analysis of a fan favorite film… so long as that film is the 1993 movie Groundhog Day.
On this year’s episode we… actually, ok, this is really weird. We started doing Groundpop day as a special bonus feature three years ago of both VoxPopcast and the Protagonist Podcast. We just had it magically appear on whatever day Groundhog Day fell on and never acknowledged it otherwise on the regular episodes. Except, this year, Groundhog Day falls on a Monday, so this just IS THE REGULAR EPISODES…
So in celebration, on this year’s episode, the GroundPod Day crew welcomes a special guest, Christopher Bingham, host of Goodnight Rita, a deep dive documentary series on YouTube that analyzes the film Groundhog Day. Last year, Chris invited Mav and Joe to serve as talking heads on his show, so we thought we’d return the favor and invite him here to talk with us on our little annual event. So join us as we have a legit brand new take on the movie from someone who quite possibly has seen it more times than anyone else alive today. Plus the same great conversation and trivia that you’re used to every year.
